Ryan Holiday is a writer, marketer, and media strategist. After dropping out of college at the age of 19, Holiday went on to become the director of marketing for American Apparel. He has since written six books, including The Daily Stoic, Ego is the Enemy, and Perennial Seller. Holiday’s creative agency, Brass Check, specializes in working with authors, media companies, and startups. Through Brass Check, Holiday has advised companies such as Google, TASER, and Complex.

South Side Teen Summer Volunteer Orientation

Students ages 12-18 wishing to volunteer at the South Side Library during the Summer Reading Program must attend a South Side volunteer orientation. Teen Summer Volunteer Applications must be signed by teen and parent/guardian and returned to the South Side Library before orientation. Applications can be picked up at the information desk beginning April 23. Approved teens will receive a call or an email from the youth librarian to attend orientation. There are two orientation times on the same day. Selected teens need only attend one session.
