One-on-One Basic Job Help

Need help filling out an online job application? Want to update your resume—or start over from scratch? Central Library can help! Schedule an appointment with a Librarian to get a dedicated 30 minutes of one-one-one help in finding and applying for a job. Available every third Friday of the month between 10:00 and 12:00 at the Central Library Success Center.

Ryan Holiday is a writer, marketer, and media strategist. After dropping out of college at the age of 19, Holiday went on to become the director of marketing for American Apparel. He has since written six books, including The Daily Stoic, Ego is the Enemy, and Perennial Seller. Holiday’s creative agency, Brass Check, specializes in working with authors, media companies, and startups. Through Brass Check, Holiday has advised companies such as Google, TASER, and Complex.

AViD Presents: Lea Berman and Jeremy Bernard

Lea Berman and Jeremy Bernard both worked in the White House as social secretaries. Berman worked for President George W. Bush, while Bernard worked for President Barack Obama. As the head of the White House Social Office, the Social Secretary is responsible for all planning, coordination, and execution of official White House social functions. This includes everything from simple afternoon tea events to state dinners with hundreds of guests. Bernard was the first male and gay Social Secretary in history.
